Reforming the village, Khor Kalba
A village of old times where you can see nothing but a sandy environment, dry-spiky trees, and old roofless muddy houses. “Isn’t my old home special?” said Rashid bin Mohammed Al Zaabi, as for Mr. Al Zaabi his old home brings much of moments and thoughts to him and his family. Under the patronage of Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, the ruler of sharjah and Sharjah’s department of culture and information, a rescue plan are made and the aim of it is to restore the Khor Kalba village historical unique old look. Declared by Hounayda Al Khaldi, the chief architect and engineer of the project, “I don’t like to put a time frame on when it will be completed but we are moving at a good pace”. Nevertheless all of reformation and refunding of the village means nothing for Mr Al Zaabi, As he admires laying down near the sea with his blanket on which brings back old days and memories.
